Download and Installation Troubleshooting
- The link goes to a 'Not Found' page.
- I hit save, but can't find the file.
- I receive the message: "Setup has found previous version of product installed. You need to uninstall it first. Proceed with uninstall?" but I don't have a toolbar on my browser.
- I receive the message: ""Error opening file for writing: C:\ProgramFiles\AnySoldier Toolbar\ImageConversion.dll""
- I receive the message "Firefox could not install the file at http://anysoldier.com/stuff/toolbar/AnySoldier.xpi because not a valid install package - 207"
- I completed installation, but still do not see the toolbar.

If you are receiving a 'Not Found' error, please check that you have the correct URL as provided by your organization. If you are sure you have the correct URL, please send an email to info@freecause.com with the subject line "Broken Toolbar Link" and put the URL as well as the toolbar you were trying to download in the email and we will investigate immediately.[top]
- I hit 'Save', but can't find the file.
First check to see if the file is located on your desktop. If you do not see it there then go to 'Start' -> 'Search'. Next select 'All files and folders' and type in "" and hit enter. The toolbar should appear shortly. If it does not show up, try another search but type 'Toolbar' into the search field. If you still do not see the toolbar then it may have not downloaded, and you should download the file again.[top]

This means that you have the already installed. You may have the toolbar hidden, please see the general FAQ to resolve this. If you wish to uninstall, select 'yes' and proceed to run the uninstaller. [top]
- I receive the message: "Error opening file for writing: C:\ProgramFiles\AnySoldier Toolbar\ImageConversion.dll"
There are a few reasons this might be happening. First you should check and see if the toolbar is already installed on your computer. To do this, go to the 'Start' menu, select 'Control Panel,' go to 'Add/Remove Programs' and look for the . If you do not see the toolbar on the list, then you may be on a restricted access account. You will have to contact the Admin of the computer and have them install the toolbar. If you do see the toolbar on the list, then it may be hidden, please see the general FAQ entry to find out how to resolve this. [top]
- I receive the message "Firefox could not install the file at http://anysoldier.com/stuff/toolbar/AnySoldier.xpi because not a valid install package - 207"
Instead of "left-clicking" on the Download link. Please try "Right-Clicking" and "Save Link As" and save the file to your desktop. Then, open up a fresh firefox browser, and position it so you can drag the downloaded file into the main area of firefox (it can be dropped anywhere, and the cursor will slightly change) This should initiate the install of the XPI[top]
- I completed installation, but still do not see the toolbar.
